You can mount the hanger brackets for the iron curtain rod to a brick wall by marking the holes and using a drill with a masonry bit and plastic anchor inserts.   Drill the appropriate size hole according to the size of anchor you need and drive the anchor in using a hammer. Hold the bracket up to the wall and drive the screws into the anchor.
